Keen to experiment and get to know different areas of business
I started as a roaming service specialist where I had the opportunity to be part of a new system development, testing and implementation. Then I deepened my knowledge and Microsoft Office skills in the area of fraud management which was both exciting and challenging.
After four years in fraud management I changed to OTC as a financial operations specialist where I was responsible for KPI reporting and carrying out SOX controls. In each role I worked together with colleagues from different locations. After a brief time away from the company, I have rejoined as a Digital Sales Reporting Specialist where I can experiment, try out new solutions of reporting and can face new challenges regularly which results in continuous self-development.
I am part of and end to end process in Digital Sales
I am part of a great team in Digital Sales where we are working together with the local teams and also with the on shore Colleagues. This is a fast paced environment where I can keep challenging myself and have an overlook on an end to end process. We are shaping the ways of working and getting things done together. I am proud to be part of an environment where it is ok to make mistakes as we are learning from them. I cannot put a label on my tasks as they vary a lot.
I particularly like my current role because it is always changing, therefore I am not doing the same tasks for a longer period of time i.e. compared to a role in Finance where there are monthly, quarterly, etc. closures.
Participating in exciting projects, being part of a great team
I am in a diverse team where everyone has their own strengths. We provide support to each other and learn, experiment together.
Each of us is taking part in projects which are more suitable and interesting to our mindset, skills. This is highly motivating for me to have the opportunity to develop in areas which I find more interesting, exciting.
Never be afraid to ask or share your ideas. Keep challenging yourself.
I have seen situations where someone was afraid of asking questions not to seem unskilled, not competent, etc. Asking questions is always a good thing. It starts conversation, sets you on a learning curve and you might even challenge the person who is providing you insight so you create new ideas together.
Being able to always grow, adapt and learn
I could highlight some great achievements from previous roles, like reducing the impact of roaming fraud by 94% or boosting revenue growth by 25% on the sales territory I worked on as a Sales Representative before Vodafone. However what I am most excited about in my current role is that I am given the opportunity and be able to live up to it by continuously growing, adapting to new situations, requirements. I.e. creating dashboards instead of excel sheets, learning how to improve our visualization methods.
I still feel excited about changes, new projects because I believe we should not settle in, but keep challenging ourselves to have the upmost experience in whatever we are doing.
