From being an ETL developer to a Professional Data Architect
I started my career as a Test Specialist back in 2012. Timely moved to another exciting role of ETL Development.
Things were 'Business as Usual' or as we all say, things were 'BAU' till I decided to join _VOIS back in 2018.
_VOIS welcomed me with open arms as a Data Architect and Consultant with a huge ocean of opportunity to Excel on and grow in my career.
With work experience from vast variety of domains, moving towards the techno-functional role in telecom domain & maintaining a good balance of ever changing technology space was truly a roller coaster ride.
Cherry on the top was business understanding that I gained here in _VOIS.
Data Architect and Consultant
My current role, "Data Architect & Consultant" has two main areas of focus.
Data Modelling and Design - This portion of my job identifies on creating a scalable ,robust Enterprise Data Warehouse and Semantic Model design to provide business a clean and processed data which would in turn help business to generate actionable insight and outlook.
The Other part of my job is related to provide consulting to other teams to resolve or enhance or review the data solutions and provide with innovative solutions to solve data problem faced by the team.
Continuous Development ,Learning and Opportunities
The thing that I like the most is Vodafone spirit that is followed across the organization
Experiment ,Learn Fast - We are always prompted to use innovative ways of working without the fear of failure. This helps me in making sure that when a product is being build i can take an unorthodox route to achieve the end goal without having a fear of what if this approach fails and how will I manage the stakeholders because of a strong backing of the leadership who always promote new ideas
and approach.
Create the Future - I have been involved in building products for my customers where I know and see how the product is helping business grow on ground . Along with this , exposure to new world technologies and freedom to explore the ways of working on these cutting edge tools keeps me excited and energetic towards the work.
Be ready to learn, things change and you should adapt
I really enjoy what I do and so it's not work. I would recommend spending some time and figuring out what are you passionate about. What are the things you like to do and what do you find rewarding?
Even though sometimes we think we dominate a topic, that is not entirely accurate. This is especially true in the technology field. But for me, this is exactly the beauty of this field. You must always learn something new and never take a back seat in a fear of failure.
Bringing Solutions into Production and Seeing People Work With Them
I am really happy that one of the major objectives in my Data Consulting team is to bring solutions into production and it makes me proud to see products I built with the project team being actually used by the business colleagues as part of their daily work.
Another proud moment for me was when I was able to help another team in Vodafone ,optimize their Data Warehouse design which in turn helped them to handle complex but one of then very important business Requirement.
