Hi Anamika, _VOIS acknowledges that domestic violence and abuse can be an issue. We will support employees who may be victims of domestic violence and abuse in the following ways:
-You will not be discriminated against or treated differently if you disclose that you are the victim of domestic violence and
abuse.
-You can take up to 10 days of paid leave in any calendar year to be used for medical appointments, legal proceedings and
other activities relating to domestic violence and abuse. Please discuss and agree in advance with your line manager.
-This leave is in addition to existing leave entitlements and may be taken as consecutive or single days or as a fraction of a
day.
To support our people to be safe from abuse at work, _VOIS will be supportive in the following requests from an
employee who is experiencing domestic violence and abuse:
Change your work telephone number and/or email address.
Appropriate flexible working arrangements to support our employees, such as changes to their pattern of
working hours, location of work or duties.
However if the employee is the culprit, the victim in such case should seek support from local police and file a complaint. The police might take this up with the culprits organisation and seek necessary actions.
